24/1 Prayer

One in Christ, the name for the various groups that do Campus Ministry at UCCS, have gathered together to begin 24/1 prayer. It is awesome. Here are some comments from the web site that was put up to organize everything...

24/1 prayer each Tuesday 7am - Wednesday 7am

This is a wonderful movement of the Holy Spirit - initiated by the wider Body of Christ in Colorado Springs. On February 7 we had one full 24 hour period of prayer and people who participated are excited beyond belief about experiencing God's presence in a rare way.
Everyone was so tuned into the Lord - praying intensely for revival and other Spirit led things and sweetly worshiping God from way down deep. Various people and groups have been coming to pray at the blockhouse every day since and we feel led to move forward with a 24 hour block every week.

Anybody is welcome to join in. We believe God wants this to cross generations and be very Kingdom oriented. You can sign up for any number of time slots. Feel free to just drop in even if you aren't signed up.

24 hours of straight prayer sounds hard. Even signing up for one hour block might seem intimidating. Well, you are in for a pleasant surprise! It is simply wonderful! The time flies by and most everyone stays much longer than they planned because it is hard to leave such focused time with your Father!
